Horsemanship Lessons Now Offered
Verity is now holding monthly Horsemanship Clinics in Invercargill. These are proving extremely popular with the equine community with participants travelling up to 7 hours to attend.
Verity is also running regular Horsemanship clinics in Tapanui, Balclutha & Dunedin and has travelled to the North Island to run Clinics as well.

New Stallion approved for NZ Grey Shire Preservation
We are very happy to report that Flint's application passed the SHS International Stallion Inspection Scheme and he is almost at the end of his first breeding season.
We look forward to welcoming his first crop of foals whom we expect to start arriving from early November 2021

We are happy to announce the arrival of Deacons Gate Flint.
He arrived from Queensland, Australia in the middle of a bitterly cold Southland winter and despite having never had to grow a winter coat he acclimated very well and has settled in to the Kiwi life as if he was born to do so.

March 2019 saw us enjoying another successful day out with two of our team.
We met loads of people and the horses enjoyed their day away from
home receiving many many cuddles and pats from their adoring fans.
This year we took Southwind Bailey and Kiwis Pretty Penny along.

**Kiwi Shires has a new home**
We moved to a new 26 acre property in late January.
We are thoroughly enjoying having all our horses at home with
us and not having to travel to a grazing block every day.
We can now offer a foaling down service along with other horse breeding

Their Grey Mare Southwind Greybones foaled a gorgous FILLY Foal by Dark Knight on 3rd February 2014.

Southwind Hermione took out the Supreme Champion Heavy Horse Exhibit with her handler Rebecca Jones.
Hermione was exhibited in the Ridden Pleasure Horse Classes by Pamela Thompson and was placed 3rd, & 4th in classes of up to 13 in her Paced and Mannered Classes and 4th in Best Presented
Shania Dew exhibited Southwind Supernova in both the Ridden Pleasure Horse Classes and the in hand Heavy Horse section.

The Real Crowd puller however, was the wee fella "Kiwis Supreme Statesman" known to his mates as Doogie!!
Doogie took it all in his stride and no-one would have known it was his first time away from home.
When the horses were not in the show
arena they were housed in a large marque and
were a big part of the
"Ol MacDonald's Farm Yard Display"
They even had a visit from Invercargill's
very own Mayor Tim Shadbolt!
